Extratympanic Electrocochlography: 1. Normal Valuses of Summating Potential(SP). Action Potential(AP), and SP/AP

Abstract
|
|
|
A non-invasive extratympanic electrocochleography (ECoG) was performed on 23 normal ears. The amplitude and the latency of the summating potential(SP) and the action potential (AP) were measured at the 82.5dB HL of click stimulus. The SP/AP was
calculated using the value of each amplitude.
We have measured these parameters as a ground work for obtaining the diagnostic value of extratympanic ECoG in Meniere's disease.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) The amplitudes of SP were 0.29±0.23μV at 1KHz, 0.56±0.32μV at 4KHz.
2) The amplitudes of AP were 1.30±0.55μV at 1KHz, 2.21±0.86μV at 4KHz.
3) The SP/AT ratios were 0.27±0.22 at 1KGz, 0.26±0.10 at 4KHz.
4) The latencies of SP were 1.17±0.22mSec at 1KHz, 0.92±0.12mSec at 4KHz.
5) The latencies of AP were 2.01±0.18 mSec at 1KHz, 1.59±0.16mSec at 4KHz.
